All Disney Releases in 2019

There’s so much to look forward to in 2019 — Disney (which includes Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm) will be releasing three live-action remakes of their classic animated movies, two Marvel movies, two sequels to their animated films, and even another Star Wars movie! Grab your calendar, it’s going to be a busy year!

Captain Marvel | March 8, 2019

Captain Marvel gets caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. This movie marks a hallmark moment for Marvel Studios – it is the first female-led Marvel superhero film.

Dumbo | March 29, 2019

Disney has released a new trailer for the live-action adaptation of the story of the floppy-eared flying elephant, and one thing is clear — it’s going to be a real tearjerker. Tim Burton’s Dumbo will star Eva Green, Michael Keaton, and Colin Farrell.

Avengers: Endgame | April 26, 2019

Avengers 4 has finally got a title: Avengers: Endgame which teases a brutal end for some of Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Aladdin | May 24, 2019

After the huge success of the live-version of Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson, it’s no wonder Disney is hard at work bringing back the beloved 90’s classics. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film is inspired by the hugely popular Eoin Colfer book. The original novel was released back in 2001 and spawned a whole series of eight adventures. Colfer summed up the series as ”Die Hard with fairies.”

After the incredible popularity of the first Frozen movie (highest-grossing animated film of all time), there was no way Disney was going to let this one without a sequel.

Star Wars Episode IX | December 20, 2019

One year until the conclusion of the Star Wars sequel trilogy! Lucasfilm has referred to Episode IX as the final film of the Skywalker saga.
